Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using any Sammy Joze product — including sammyjoze.com, Chrome extensions, web apps, desktop apps, and related services (collectively, the “Services”) — you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If you use a Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Our services

Sammy Joze develops and publishes software tools for productivity, security, and everyday use. Services include, without limitation:

• Chrome extensions — browser tools that may run locally, connect to your accounts, or use third-party APIs you provide.
• Web apps — online applications that may require an account and store data to provide sync and features.
• Desktop apps — installed applications with features described at download or in-product.
• Product websites — sites that may link to or supplement these terms.

Features may change, be added, or be discontinued. We strive to maintain reliable Services but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

3. Accounts

Some Services require an account; others do not. Account requirements are described in each app or extension.

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your password, passcode, and any credentials used to access the Services.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at team@sammyjoze.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Our Services are not intended for children under 13.

4. Your API keys and third-party AI

Certain extensions and apps use a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) model:

• You supply your own API keys to enable AI or other third-party features.
• Your key is stored locally in your browser or device for BYOK products. We do not receive or store your API key on our servers.
• When you trigger a feature, requests are sent from your browser or device directly to the third-party provider. You are responsible for complying with that provider’s terms, usage policies, and fees.
• AI output may be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
• Upload, transmit, or store malware, spam, or harmful code.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data belonging to Sammy Joze or others.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Services except where permitted by law.
• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the infrastructure or other users’ use of the Services.
• Use the Services for unlawful surveillance, harassment, or discrimination.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these terms or poses risk to the Services or other users.

6. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, logos, documentation, and branding, are owned by Sammy Joze or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for their intended purpose, subject to these terms.
• You retain ownership of content you submit or store. You grant us the rights necessary to host, process, and sync that content solely to provide the Services.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Services except as expressly permitted.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Services will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. Our apps and extensions are aids — you are responsible for verifying important information and maintaining your own backups and security practices where appropriate.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAMMY JOZE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50) FOR FREE PRODUCTS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. You may delete your account where the product provides that option, or contact us for assistance.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue a Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and intellectual property) will survive termination.

10. Changes

We may modify these Terms of Service from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

If you do not agree to updated terms, you must stop using the Services.
